SOCIAL365 is MEDIA REPUBLIC’s engagement management unit, it develops, executes and manages engagement strategies for connected brands. SOCIAL365 helps brands to develop a social identity, create relationships with their target audience and add value to those relationships by creating interactions via social media.
The company has a broad network of partners in the digital marketing field and work for various sectors: e.g. fmcg, consumer products, telecom and finance. SOCIAL365 is housed at the Dutch Embassy of MEDIA REPUBLIC in Amsterdam.
What we think
Marketing used to be all about pushing messages to consumers via all available channels, in a 360 approach; eventually overloading them with relevant and irrelevant marketing messages. Consumers today however don’t value push marketing anymore and will increasingly curate their own media consumption.
Nowadays marketing is all about being relevant to the consumer, in such a way that consumers are willing to talk about, like and share brand messaging; thus creating new relationships or add value to existing relationships. Therefore, the challenge for brands is to be relevant every day and not just pushing messages through different channels.
Social media is an eventful area within marketing, a big caveat for marketers however is to consider social media as just another media channel (like tv, radio etc), to treat it as just another line item if you will. Social media is more than just another channel, it gives you the opportunity to engage with your target audience in their personal context.
Our view is that:
